Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using PillPrep. By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
These Terms include important provisions that limit our liability and that require you to take sole responsibility for any materials you upload, including section 6 (User Content and Uploaded Materials), section 7 (Copyright and Takedown), section 10 (Disclaimers), section 11 (Limitation of Liability) and section 12 (Indemnity). Please read them carefully.
PillPrep ("we", "us", "our") provides an online revision platform for UK foundation trainee pharmacists (formerly known as pre-registration trainees) preparing for the GPhC registration assessment. The Services are available at pillprep.co.uk and app.pillprep.co.uk.
The Service is operated by an individual sole trader ("we", "us", "our") based in Sofia, Bulgaria. It is not operated by an incorporated company. You can contact us at any time at [email protected].
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Services. By registering, you confirm that you are at least 18. The Services are intended for users in the United Kingdom. Access from outside the UK is permitted but local laws may apply to you.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate and up-to-date information when registering. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
PillPrep offers paid plans billed monthly, every 3 months, or every 12 months. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you authorise us to charge your payment method on the applicable billing cycle after any free trial period.
Right to cancel (consumers): Where you are a consumer, you normally have a statutory right to cancel a purchase of digital services within 14 days. However, by starting the free trial and accessing the Services immediately, you request that the Services begin during the cancellation period and you acknowledge that, once the paid subscription begins and the Services have been fully supplied, you may lose this statutory right to cancel. This does not affect your right to a refund where the Services are faulty or not as described, or any other refund right you have under applicable consumer law. To request cancellation or a refund, contact us at [email protected].
You agree not to:
The Services allow you to upload, submit, store and share documents, notes, images, flashcards, community posts and other materials ("User Content"), including for the purpose of generating quizzes and study aids. Uploaded documents must be in PDF format and are subject to a file-size limit (currently 256 MB per file). This section governs all such User Content. You are solely responsible for your User Content and for the consequences of uploading or sharing it.
In particular, you must not upload any material that is protected by copyright or other intellectual property rights unless you own those rights or have the rights holder's permission to use it. All responsibility for the materials you upload — including making sure they are not copyrighted, confidential or otherwise unlawful — rests entirely with you, and not with PillPrep. You accept full responsibility and liability for any material you upload, and you accept the consequences if it turns out you were not entitled to upload it.
Documents you upload are private to you. They are not published, shared with other users, or made visible to anyone else. Once we have generated study aids from an uploaded document, the document is no longer shown back to you in the app, though it may continue to be stored on our systems as described in section 6.3 and in our Privacy Policy.
By uploading, submitting or sharing any User Content, you represent, warrant and undertake to us that:
You must not upload any personal data relating to patients or other identifiable individuals, or any confidential or proprietary information belonging to a third party, unless you are fully authorised to do so.
As between you and PillPrep, you retain all ownership rights you hold in your User Content. We do not claim ownership of your User Content.
By uploading or submitting User Content, you grant PillPrep a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable and transferable licence to host, store, copy, reproduce, process, adapt and reformat your User Content to operate, provide, secure and improve the Services. This includes transmitting the contents of your uploads to our third-party AI provider, Google (Gemini), which processes them on our behalf to generate quizzes, flashcards and other study aids for you.
You also acknowledge and agree that we may use your uploaded materials, and the study aids generated from them, to develop, train, fine-tune and improve artificial-intelligence models and the features of the Services. Where required by applicable data protection law, we will provide further information and obtain any necessary consent before using personal data contained in your uploads for model-training purposes, as described in our Privacy Policy.
When you delete your account, we delete your User Content from our active systems within 30 days, except that we may retain residual copies in backups for a limited period and as required by law, and we may retain anonymised, de-identified or derived material that does not identify you or reproduce your original content (including material already incorporated into trained AI models).
User Content is uploaded and stored at your direction. We act as a neutral host of User Content within the meaning of the hosting protections under Article 14 of the EU e-Commerce Directive (2000/31/EC) and the UK Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002. We do not review, verify, endorse or pre-screen User Content before it is stored or processed, and we are under no obligation to monitor it. We are not responsible or liable for any User Content, including its accuracy, legality or any infringement of third-party rights. Any reliance you place on User Content (including AI-generated outputs derived from it) is at your own risk.
We may, at our sole discretion and without notice, remove, disable access to, or refuse to store any User Content that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms, infringes any third-party right, or may expose us or any other person to liability. We may also suspend or terminate the account of any user who uploads infringing or unlawful material, including repeat infringers.
We respect intellectual property rights and expect our users to do the same. Uploaded materials are supplied by our users, not by us. We do not know in advance what a user chooses to upload and we do not select or review uploads before they are processed. We take reasonable steps to detect and clear out copyrighted materials, but no such measures are perfect and some material may occasionally slip through despite our efforts.
If you are a rights holder (or their authorised agent) and believe that material on the Services infringes your copyright or other rights, we ask that you let us know so we can put it right. Please contact us at [email protected] with the subject line "Copyright Complaint" and include:
On receipt of a valid notice we will act expeditiously to investigate and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the material in question. We will deal with repeat infringers by terminating their accounts where appropriate.
All content we provide on the platform, including questions, clinical scenarios, flashcards, mnemonics, explanations, software, branding and design, is owned by or licensed to PillPrep and protected by UK and international intellectual property law. You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to access and use that content for your own personal revision only. You must not copy, reproduce, scrape, republish, distribute, sell or commercially exploit any of our content without our prior written permission.
PillPrep is an educational revision tool only. Content is designed to help you prepare for the GPhC registration assessment and is based on the BNF and MEP at the time of writing. It is not intended as clinical advice for patient care. Never rely on PillPrep content in a clinical setting. Always refer to current guidelines, the BNF, and your supervising pharmacist for patient care decisions.
PillPrep is not affiliated with, endorsed by or accredited by the GPhC, BPSA or any other professional body.
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all representations, warranties, conditions and terms (whether express or implied) that are not expressly set out in these Terms, including any implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Services or any content (including AI-generated content and any output derived from User Content) will be accurate, complete, error-free, uninterrupted, or that the Services will meet your requirements. You are responsible for verifying any information before relying on it.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PillPrep shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or anticipated savings, arising from or in connection with your use of the Services or any User Content.
Without limiting the above, we shall have no liability whatsoever for any claim, loss, damage, cost or expense arising out of or in connection with any User Content you upload, submit or share, including any claim that such content infringes the rights of a third party. Responsibility for such content rests solely with the user who uploaded it.
Subject to the paragraph below, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) £50.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless PillPrep, its owners, officers, employees and contractors from and against any and all claims, demands, proceedings, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) any User Content you upload, submit, store or share; (b) your breach of these Terms or of any warranty you give in section 6; (c) your infringement or misappropriation of any intellectual property, confidentiality or privacy right of any third party; or (d) your violation of any applicable law. This indemnity survives termination of your account and these Terms.
You may close your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably believe your account poses a security or legal risk. On termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 6, 8, 10, 11 and 12) will continue to apply.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-law provisions, or the right to bring proceedings in the courts, of the country in which you are habitually resident.
